Dr Daniel Alan Brubaker, a scholar at Rice University, Texas, studies the variant Qur’anic texts from the 7th – 10th centuries. Here he shows how a fragment of a Qur’an manuscript clearly shows modification, which in turn changes the meaning.
The manuscript in question is page (7v) of BL2165, a vertical format Qurʾan fragment, from the late 7th or early 8th century AD, located in the British Library, London.
Muslim apologist Mansur Ahmed, critiqued the presentation, but still agrees that the text has been modified and the meaning changed.
