Sura 33:55:
There is no blame (on these ladies if they appear) before their fathers or their sons, their brothers, or their brother's sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the (slaves) whom their right hands possess. And, (ladies), fear Allah; for Allah is Witness to all things.
Abu Huraiyra said that the Prophet Muhammad said: “It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allaah (God) and the Last Day to travel the distance of one day, except with a mahram.” - (Al Muslim - )
No woman should travel except with a mahram and no man should enter upon her unless she has a mahram with her.” Bukhari
