Narrated Sulayman ibn Sard that Ubayy ibn Ka'ab came to the Prophet with two men who differed in the Qira'a (recitation): each one of them saying: the Messenger

Narrated Sulayman ibn Sard that Ubayy ibn Ka'ab came to the Prophet with two men who differed in the Qira'a (recitation): each one of them saying: the Messenger of Allah recited it to me. So he (the prophet) made them both recite, saying to each of them: "you did well". Ubayy said; 'so doubt entered my heart more intensely than when I was in Jahiliyaa (pre-Islamic ignorance), so the Messenger of Allah struck me in my chest and said: O Allah make Satan depart from him. So he (Ubayy) said: 'I sweated profusely, as if I am looking at Allah'. Then he (the Prophet) said: 'Gabriel came to me and said: read the Quran in seven Ahruf (letters), each one is healing and sufficient"
Transmitted by Al Sayuti in Al Khasaa'is Al Kubra 2:168And in Musnad Ahmad 5:142, and Sahih Muslim in Salat Al Musafereen book, chapter of the goodness of surah Al Kahf and Ayat Al Kursi..The Prophet struck him in his chest and said: "Knowledge has humiliated you, O Abu Al Munthir (a title of Ubayy)".
